A gallery-style store for original artwork

Galleri Gunilla Holm Platou needed an ecommerce store that felt like a gallery, not a generic shop template — original paintings, prints and cards presented with enough visual space to be judged as art first, product second. Most ecommerce themes are built for volume: dense grids, badges, countdown timers. None of that serves a working artist selling a small, changing body of original work.

The build strips that noise back out. Each piece gets room to breathe on its own product page, image quality and load speed were prioritised over decorative chrome, and the browsing structure follows how the artist actually organises her practice — by series and medium — rather than a generic ‘shop’ taxonomy bolted on afterward.

Checkout and shipping were kept simple by design: original art and prints are low-catalogue, high-consideration purchases, and the store doesn’t pretend otherwise.
